Christmas Prelude                                                      December 2-11, 2011

The Society joins Kennebunkport’s celebration of festive holiday events.  This 30th anniversary celebration is bigger and better than ever. 

The Society kicks off Christmas Prelude with a gala Candlelight Reception at the Pasco Center to open the second Annual Holiday Treescapes. The Society’s North Street campus will be transformed into a winter wonderland with a selection of 30 decorated holiday trees and settings.

Local designers, business owners, and volunteers have created trees ranging from two feet – six feet and some will have accessories and table settings to accompany the trees for the holiday season.  Each of the trees will be for sale. 

Decorated wreaths will also be available.  All proceeds will benefit the Society’s education and outreach programs.  The event will be open Friday, December 2 and Saturday, December 3 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m, at the Pasco Center and Town House School, 125-135 North Street.

Nott House activities include house tours of the 1853 mansion with period rooms decorated by local merchants.  The carriage house will be a children’s toyland with highlights from the Society’s collection.
